New SPH Late Proposal Question in GMAS Replaces Late Proposal Notification Form

August 10, 2023
Effective immediately, we will no longer require that the Late Proposal Notification Form be completed for late proposals. In its place, there will be a mandatory school specific question that will appear in the request in GMAS, see the wording below. GMs are responsible for answering this question and then updating the answer if necessary. GMs should also continue to communicate with SRMs if a late proposal is anticipated. To this end, we request that the GMs email the SRM as soon as they know about a late proposal and inform them (in the subject line of the email), of the GMAS #, Due Date, and estimated Date SRM can expect to receive the proposal. SRMs will be a second check to ensure the GMAS question is answered accurately. Note that all proposal deadlines remain the same.

"Is this application/proposal being submitted for central review after the Sponsored Programs Administration (SPA) deadlines?"

We hope that this is a welcome change that will decrease administrative burden (i.e. GMs don’t have to fill/refill out the form, SRMs do not need to review these forms, decreases JotForm emails, easier to obtain late proposal data now that it is a field in GMAS). If you have any questions, please reach out to Melissa Francis or Angela Brazeau
