Effort Policy Changes - Effective April 8, 2022

Effective April 8, 2022, there will be minor changes to procedures and policy for effort reporting.

Changes Include:

  • New, separate Proxy forms have been created for faculty and non-faculty annual certifiers
  • Approved Proxy forms will be upload to annual certifications in addition to the Proxy assignment page
  • Elimination of the 21-day due date for reopened or newly created certifications
  • Realignment of due dates for all certifications to 4 quarterly due dates, regardless of reopening or creation date
    • Recertifications and newly created certifications from current or prior periods are due at the next quarterly certification date following the posting of the payroll adjustment to the general ledger
    • For PAR tasks older than 7 days, OSP will Post and Reopen and place “On Hold” any certification that is not manually certified

FY 2022 Certification Cycles

  • FY 2022 Q3: Thursday, June 2, 2022
  • FY 2022 Q4 & Annual: Thursday, October 20, 2022

FY 2023 Certification Cycles

  • FY 2023 Q1: Thursday, December 15, 2022
  • FY 2023 Q2: Thursday, March 9, 2023
  • FY 2023 Q3: Thursday, June 1, 2023
  • FY 2023 Q4 & Annual: Thursday, October 19, 2023

The effective date of this revision is Friday, April 8, 2022 - immediately following the FY 2022 Q2 due date of April 7, 2022. The revised policy will be posted to the OSP website then.
