Other Support & Biosketches

NIH requires disclosure of all resources made available to a researcher in support of and/or related to any of their research endeavors, regardless of whether they have monetary value and regardless of whether they are based at Harvard University

NOTE: National Institutes of Health (NIH) has issued new requirements for Other Support reporting and Biographical Sketches (Biosketches) submitted on or after January 25, 2022.

Harvard University’s process for NIH submissions has been updated to align with new requirements and directives set by the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) Section 223 and the National Security Presidential Memorandum (NSPM) 33. These two documents outline changes in federal research guidelines that aim to enhance national security, research integrity, safety and productivity within the research environment, and reducing the administrative burden on federal grantees. In order to assist PIs in their disclosure, new tools and processes have been created to gather and review the appropriate information to be disclosed.
