Effort Review Period Ends on 9/23

September 13, 2019

We have less than 10 business days to complete the review of the dual ecrt certification before the statements are released to PI certifiers.

Please ensure you can review your portfolio all accounts are properly presented.

  • Please keep the original committed effort in mind when reviewing certifications for any personnel listed on NIH award letters require prior approval to reduce effort by 25% or greater.
  • Proxy Approval Form for 6030 annual certifiers who have left SPH should be submitted prior to 9/13.
  • Check cost sharing transaction to make sure that it includes all the correct corresponding sponsored activity, sub-activity and root and therefore appearing correctly in ecrt.
  • Beware of statements with negative $ and/or effort %. They must be cleared prior to opening of certification period and journal adjustments take time.
  • Re mindful that salary journals take at least two days to appear in ecrt (if you transmit a journal on Fridays after 5, it may take an extra day) – journals processed at the end of the review period should be monitored closely; use the On Hold functionality if journals won’t appear before the certification period opens. It is highly recommended to process adjustments as soon as possible.
  • Review statements prior to 9/23 or put them on hold to avoid erroneous certification.

Please feel free to connect if questions.

Best,

Judy
