NIH informs the research community of policy changes through notices in the NIH Guide to Grants and Contracts (often referred to as the NIH Guide). These policy notices supersede information in the NIH Grants Policy Statement and compliance with these policy updates become a term and condition of award. NSF Proposal and Award Policy Update - October 4, 2021

Extension of COVID Flexibilities for Method of Instruction in RCR

NIH (together with AHRQ and HRSA) will extend the existing COVID flexibilities permitting online training in the Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) through December 31, 2021, even if the declared public health emergency is rescinded before then. Grant recipients do not need to seek prior approval to do so.
